Tupac - Commisioned Portrait by TheHeadChange Tupac - Commisioned Portrait by TheHeadChange
This image was created with pencil referenced from an 8" x 10" photo.
The actual final piece was approximately 24" x 36" and the image and rights to the piece were purchased by a private art collector in Medford Oregon. Due to this no prints will be made of this image.

The collector is a huge fan of Tupac, and was exceedingly pleased with the piece once delivered. In fact I was immediately re-commisioned by him for another abstract piece the same day I delivered this one to him.

The client asked me to choose the photo I wished to reproduce. I went with this one was I felt it had the best artistic lighting and contrast. I also chose this one because it was extremely challenging. One of the most challenging areas of this piece was trying to draw the jewlery and the out of focus portions of the original photo. The other challenge as many black and white graphite artists will agree was to capture the correct skin tone.
